:: Lettner Fam Reunion ::

After our first week of staying with Markus' parents and brother in St. Georgen, we all headed to a little village in Upper Austria called Obertraun, which sits right on Lake Hallstatt. It was SO great being with the whole family again. The last time we were all together, four years ago, there were only three kiddos...this year there were NINE!

The house we stayed at was perfect for the 20 of us.

We all were able to sit around the dining room table(s) at the same time, each family had their own room, and the yard was huge. The house was in a perfect location -- surrounded by mountains on three sides...

...and about a 75 meter walk to the lake. Just a quick 60 second jaunt down the path and past the playground and we were at water's edge.

Throughout the entire week, there was much swimming...

much playing...

and much relaxing.

We took many long walks...

There was also copious amounts of ice cream eating...

And, because these two decided to get married forty years ago...

...the 20 of us were able to be together and have a week filled with lots of love, joy, and really, really fun memory making...

We are so thankful for this family -- for the love, for the joy that they bring, for the friendship, for the abundant generosity. It is this great love, joy, friendship and generosity that made it possible for us to fly to a far away land and live life as one big Lettner family *together* in one place for a whole week!
