:: Homecoming ::

Markus went fishing for three days the other week. He had a successful trip - the weather was quite warm during the day, cool at night (but not cold enough to feel miserable while tent camping) and he even caught a few fish!

Here are some pictures of his biggest fish yet! He had already removed the head by the time he snapped these pics on his cell phone.

Before cooking...
All fried up...
Enjoyed...
Because he was so missed while he was away, Analise decided to plan a welcome home party for him. She spent two days planning exactly what she wanted to do.

First thing in the morning on the day he was to arrive home she hollered at me from the living room, "Moooooommmm. How do you spell 'welcome'?" which I proceeded to spell for her. Then came the spelling of 'home'. The next thing I heard was, "this looks just perfect..." Here is what she created to proudly display on the front door: She said, "I even made Daddy with glasses. I have never tried to make glasses. It is hard! But I think that Daddy will like it." (And he did!)
Part of her party planning included a welcome home banner, balloons and party hats. Just a smidge of construction paper, tape and markers and this is what we came up with.
Who wouldn't want to come home to this lovely little one?

Such a cute banner. Where did you come up with that idea? So creative + simple at the same time.
