:: She's ONE-derful ::

Yesterday, February 9th, marked Analise's FIRST birthday. We had a nice small party in the morning over at Ryan and Renee's house. Most of her little friends came, however we all know that a first birthday is more for the adults than it is for the child anyhow. Markus really wanted a party for his girl, so a party they had.

Her cousin Ana is here from Germany visiting. They are having a good time together...learning how to play together and teaching each other new things.

This is just one picture of the fun that the kids had. They played on the swings, slides, and in the dirt! Sammy loves dirt!

It was a great time...we hung out, played, ate yummy quiche, fruit salad, cheese and crackers, pastries, and drank mimosas.

Analise was able to enjoy her very own special cupcake. She has never had sugar like that before. At first she was a bit unsure that she should get her hands dirty, however she quickly overcame that!

This is Analise (and Madison) waiting to get the show on the road:

Is it okay that my face is dirty?

Mmm...this tastes nice...

"If I try hard enough, I think I can get the whole thing to fit."

"No pictures please"

Overall, it was a fantastic day. We are so blessed to have such wonderful friends. It is a joy to share in their lives and their children's lives, and we feel so special and honored that they share in the life of our Analise Joy. We are looking forward to many more years of loving this little munchkin.

"What a day..."
